We ran a little contest earlier this year that showed off some of the great cooking skills of Tacoma World. If you missed it, the thread can be found here.

Some didn't get a chance to enter because is was a bit too cold in their neck of the woods. To try and avoid the summer heat and the winter cold, we're squeezing another one in now! Even better, we're partnering with @Kanyon71 and his company - Triple S Engraving - for the prizes!

***The Contest***

Think you massage your meat better than anyone else in the Tacoma World community? Prove it by submitting a picture of your best dish that features Pitfaced BBQ Meat Massage or Spicy Meat Massage to win a great grand prize (details of grand prize below). Prizes for second and third place are available as well!

Submissions are being taken now (see details below) through November 4th. Beginning November 6th, the Tacoma World community will be deciding the winners by voting for your favorite dish that features Pitfaced BBQ Meat Massage or Spicy Meat Massage.

Important dates:

Submissions will be accepted between now and midnight on Sunday, November 4th.

Voting will take place from November 6th through November 11th.

The Grand Prize consists of:

- One (1) 24 oz pouch of Pitfaced BBQ Meat Massage

- One (1) 24 oz pouch of Pitfaced BBQ Spicy Meat Massage

- One (1) cleaver laser etched with the Pitfaced BBQ logo - Courtesy of @Kanyon71 and Triple S Engraving

The Second Place Prize is still in development but will at least consist of:

***How to Enter***

1. Cook something using Pitfaced BBQ Meat Massage or Spicy Meat Massage (go big and get creative!). Note that it doesn't have to be smoked/grilled. If you fancy the skillet, oven, crockpot, or whatever else, make it happen!

2. Take a picture of your dish with the Pitfaced BBQ logo in the frame. Something with the rub container is preferred, but not required, so feel free to use your patch, koozie, or other Pitfaced BBQ swag! The logo MUST be visible in the picture to be eligible!

3. Put your submission in to a single post in this thread. You can post multiple pictures of the same dish, but only the first picture will be used when I consolidate all submissions to a single post for voting.

The forum's polling options limits me to 20 choices. Currently, the plan will be to limit this to 20 submissions. If there are more and we can come up with a reasonable workaround, I will try to implement it.

From now through November 4th, you can post your submissions and I will begin preparing them for voting, which will start on November 6th. The submissions will go in the reserved posts below and a poll will be added once voting opens up.

Pulled pork with a side of homebrew dark IPA. Excellent!

Need to get on this. Headed to Costco tomorrow.

 

Really good. I’m a fan of this rubbon pork.

Next up ribs but not for a couple of weeks

 

Marinated Tri-Tip with Worchestershire, Shallot, Chive, Butter sauce.

 

Should this be in the open category instead of the pitfaced one?

So....The "mystery items" arrived last night, courtesy of @Kanyon71 and Triple S Engraving.

The "mystery item" for the second place prize - previously unannounced - is really cool and we have something to put the Grand Prize absolutely over the top.

If you're cooking with Pitfaced BBQ rub, you definitely want to give yourself a shot at winning this one.
