Check the head gasket. I got my 92 for wicked cheap as well but it was a drunk negotiation with a buddy haha.

Well if I were to set up a build plan for it, it would go something along the lines of....

fix anything that needs fixing. Then i'd take off the flat bed and build some type of gear basket and tire carrier. Then fix up the suspension and tires, or armor it up, doesn't matter what comes first. But Those should follow each other closely. Depending on the tire size you might need to re-gear. At that point you would probably want to add lockers if it doesn't already have 'em. Then top if off with the luxuries like winches, lights, on board air/ power tank, CB radio, headers, fuel cell. However much more money you want to dump into it. And if you really wanna make it a trail rig then build a roll cage for it!

Depending on how much you put into it, you could really take that thing places.
