Good news! Beefed sliders are finally available for 2nd gen double cab trucks with the 6 foot bed. (DCLB=double cab long bed)

Same materials, same strength, and same tried and true original Beefed Slider design as all the ACLB & DCSB (access cab long bed=6' bed & double cab short bed= 5' bed) trucks in this older thread below have used. Many happy customers.

The white truck will get a set immediately after this red truck, so I decided to put a couple pics of it too since it has a wide set of tires and wheels that stick out past the fenders and you can get an idea of where a set of medium bars pictured on the red truck stick out to, the kickout, which looks to be right at the edge of the white truck's rear tires.

The pics also show how far toward the ends of the slider the 1st and 4th leg are, where they should be for strength. Also shown is the Beefed rear frame mount on the 4th leg that's a leaf hanger protector and allows the rear leg to be very far toward the rear. Also shown is the kickout which makes a great step into the bed or onto the roof of the truck without scraping the paint with your foot since there's a good amount of room with it not being so tucked up minimizing protection from a tree or a shoe.

Can be seen or ordered from the Streetacos' online store with info below.

Yep, 4 per side. You don't have to drill the bottom and can just use the factory side holes, but they'll be more of a strong type of "step" and shouldn't be used for actually sliding over a rock. If they'll be used off road on rocks, I definitely recommend drilling the bottom. It's the only way to get the footing necessary for use of a Hi Lift jack or placing the entire weight of the vehicle onto them. Toyota has no holes or any logical mounting points underneath the rail to mount to, so drilling becomes necessary for real world rock abuse or Hi Lift jack use. I'll make sure and get some good pics of my install and them mounted on a truck within a day or two.

Anytime Peter. These bars will bolt to the frame without any drilling on the bottom and be very solid, but you just wouldn't want to try to support the truck weight with them this way.

Seeing how those fat factory bars bolt to the sheet metal of the cab, these would be 100 times stronger if used as a step by only using factory side holes in the frame and not drilling. Those fat bars bend and get messed up real easy when they contact something, where these would be able to handle a accidental hit no problem when used as a "step" only.

We've all seen bent up fat bars the factory uses as a option, but at least they did their job by saving the body. Those pesky little poles in parking lots that jump out and ruin your day can really suck!

I like them. bolt on type for 2009 access cab 6 foot bed with bed protectors. Not sure about the bolt on steps though. i like the idea. I like that the sliders come farther off the side of the truck than most. most seem to be tucked up pretty close to the bottom of the rocker panels. i do take the truck off road and have been lucky with the parking lot factory step bars. They are getting pretty mashed up though. How long does it take to fab up a set and what would ship cost be to say Denver. maybe use Fastenal? :D

Yeah some like them wide and some like then tucked up close. Comes down to the individual. This is why I offer them in narrow, medium (pictured on red truck in 1st post), and wide. I like the medium's since you get the best of everything...tree protection, can use them as a step to get into the bed or get to the roof, wide enough to thwart off door dings, but not so wide as to be in the way everytime you climb in and out of the truck. You do still have to swing your leg over it a little when exiting the cab.

Shipping...been there, checked that. The Fastenal thing is a myth as far as I know. I checked into it a couple years ago when I heard they'd ship store to store for $60. After bugging them numerous times and finally hearing back from the bossman, they said what they could do is ship for 10% less than UPS. UPS is the most expensive carrier and I don't even bother to calculate shipping through them anymore since FedEx is always less and I'm very happy with their service. Plus they p/u from my shop. All I have to do is grab one end and help the driver load them.

These things are beasts when handled two at a time, they're 103 lbs for ACLB & DCSB and about 110 lbs for DCLB. I always feel sorry for the delivery guy. FedEx is the most affordable method I've been able to find. Shipping ranges from $125 to $145 to ship accross the US. Since you're only a few states over, my guess is probably about $125, and then the $10 I add for my shipping materials. Shipping can be paid when they're finished and ready to ship if someone prefers to do that. Thanks for looking and posting, I appreciate it.

Neeeexxxxttttt.....:) (they're not on yet obviously ) This set is going to have a couple changes compared to what they normally look like. He wants the rear kickout longer, so longer it is. It'll start between the 2 doors and end where it normally does. This set may also have a different style kickup (BSP=bed side protection) influenced by the rear wheel opening. Stay tuned. I'm also doing a tubed exo rear bumper that'll bolt on and protect the stock one.

It's measured from the pinch weld out. The seam or lip of the body under the doors. Below are the width specs, and by putting the end of a tape meaure on the pinch weld and measuring out. The listed widths below are center to center of the tubes. Since it's center to center on the tubes, add 7/8" of an inch to get the outer edge since the tube is 1-3/4" and my measurements are center to center. This should get you a rough idea.

Basically, the narrow's match narrow tires & wheels and wides match wide tires & wheels. This means the edge of the rear kickout will be flush with the edge of the rear tire.

Even though they only differ by one inch, it makes a big difference on the truck. I'll post somepics when I have more time, and there's a link to a old slider thread for ACLB & DCSB in the first post of this thread. Plenty of pics.

WIDTH / 2 LONG TUBES / REAR KICKOUT

    NARROW / 5-1/2" / 7"
    MEDIUM / 6-1/2" / 8"
    WIDE / 7-1/2' / 9"

Kickouts on steroids. He wanted them this way and we think they turned out great. They go from the rear of the slider like normal, but continue on all the way to the middle of the front and rear door. I also did BSP (bed side protection) and he chose to have me do these a little different than I normally do. I finished the sliders and setup a install at ORW. Kelly traveled all the way from Utah to California to have me do his bolt on sliders and a custom rear bolt on exo bumper that surrounds his stock bumper. Both turned out great imo. This guy is one hell of a nice guy and really traveled the distance to get Beefed! I came up with my front plate bumper plugs and light mounts on this truck while I had it and gave them to him as a thank you since I really appreciated him going the extra mile (or 2,000 miles) for me!

I love the adjustments that were made in my set. the extended kickout just blends in very well like it was designed at the factory. Thanks Brian, this trip was worth it. So glad we have these as an option now for the DCLB
