    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

So, I'm getting ready to do a 4x4 conversion on my 2002 Prerunner Doublecab 6 cyl Auto. Most everyone who has done this, knows this begins with a months long process of gathering parts and asking annoying questions of anyone who has done it before. I figured I would start a thread where I can try to gather the info for my swap. I realize others have made there own threads, and I plan on linking them here to this one to try and centralize the info for myself.

Any input in this is greatly appreciated... and also another reason I'm starting this thread.

    ***UPDATE***

Info on dual cases and triple sticks begins here

Also... Updated pic of the rig

    Updated 2/4/18

Here is this list of parts I'm thinking I will need for the conversion. (Yellow highlight indicates parts I have) With the understanding that a few of these things are "wants" rather than "needs" for completion.

So I started off the accumulation of parts by picking up a front differential from @BartMaster1234... a yard had sold it to him, telling him it was 4:30, when he opened it up, it wound up being 4:10. Was happy to take it off his hands because that's the ratio I happen to have.

This particular diff was ADD, so I started looking for a manual jackshaft. I didn't want to mess with the connections involved with going ADD. And I didn't want to do the whole hose clamp in the differential thing either.

Eventually, I found the manual jackshaft and someone willing to part with it. (found on Craigslist)

Gee I wonder where you got that front differential from

Nice, I'm in the process of doing the same conversion on the same exact truck. I only lack an ecm, clutch and rear driveshaft

Let me save you the pain and heartache now and just take your driveshaft to a driveline shop to shorten it. I wasted so much time and money trying to find the correct rear driveshaft.

You ride height was just like mine. Front a bit higher than the rear. GL, I also have plans and I think the only thing I need is the transmission.

If I recall you don't need the ecu. You will need to extend the vss to the transfer case though.

Aaaand I was also able to get a set of OEM CVs from @Tour991 as well.
(Side note) @Tour991 deals quite a bit in parting out trucks. I want to tell you, he is a solid dude. If you see he's selling something you need, don't even hesitate to deal with him... he is 100% legit.

I will be cleaning these up and rebooting them with long travel outers from Lowrange and high articulation inners from Offroadsolutions... when time allows.

I don’t think it’ll work. The T100 is a longer full size truck.

Since I run SPC upper control arms, I decided to order a set of the upper sleeves and retainer clips so I can press them in to my spindles and have them ready for install.

Are you going Manual Hubs or ADD? You only need an ECU if you’re doing a 5 Speed swap at the same time.

I have already decided to definately have the rear drive shaft made to order. Kicking around the idea of going one piece, to eliminate the carrier bearing.

If I go dual case, I'll need a front but I'll have to have that made to order too.
