Exactly. You can flip the abs kill switch anytime and abs, vsc, and trac are disabled. Turn the switch back off at anytime and the truck goes back to an oem state with all systems working again. And I agree with you on the whole engaging rear diff thing. I doubt it would do anything, but there is no point in risking it. Just flip your abs kill switch off and engage the rear diff

For 09 TRD Sport with VSC I used pin 4 on same plug which is a green wire ..cut it and installed a switch on the dash..I can turn on and off ABS/ VSC anytime without any issues. Works on the fly without having to reset.

I didn't read through all 9 previous pages, but I thought I'd mention what I did in case it helps somebody. I already had the simplified locker mod done (the one that grounds out a wire going to the ECU). I was in the dash anyway to fix something else and I didn't have another switch lying around, so I tied the ground side of that existing mod to the ABS disable wire described in this thread. This way I only have to flip the one switch and it disables the nannys. I haven't really tested that the ABS is truly off, but the light cycles on and off as expected and the locker definitely engages. I'll post up if any issues arise with it, but so far it seems to work flawlessly.

Snowsk8er2- Damn I'm slow but finally did the abs and alt. locker mod,got them hooked up nicely up in the corner of my console.Works great,if its bad out,I can leave the lid up,rest my arm there with my fingers on the switches.
And if not driving it or goes in for inspection,I lock the console and take the key, none the wiser. Ha ha,thx for the help and crom for the orginal link.

Thanks and congrats on finally doing it. I found a new driving condition in which the abs kill switch will probably get flipped. While heading to the gorman meet last weekend and going through the canyon, vsc tripped on a few times. I assume with the larger tires I put on 2 weeks ago my truck now has more body roll and driving through a windy road at anything faster than "slow" the yaw sensor trips thinking I'm about to start sliding and kicks vsc on braking various wheels trying to run me off the road, when in fact I am just fine. Luckily with the abs kill switch flipped, vsc and trac are also disabled and I will probably end up flipping it really quick anytime I am in a canyon situation. I figure I can drive my own truck by myself, better than it trying to help me when I'm in fact not in any trouble.

Enough of my rant, here's a

I hear what your saying. I just mainly plan on using the abs mod when stopping in snow then flip it back off after stopping so i will get back my lsd in the snow and where i put the switch,it should work great. i was out checking everything out yesterday, this will work great.
Now all i want to do is the inverter and and xtra outlet in the console and finish some leds in the cab and a switch to turn off my dtrl's.
already did the fog light mod and locks in the bed.
    good times.

Correct on the A-TRAC for sure. Not sure if TRAC is the correct terminology. From what I've read, that described what I was thinking of. A-TRAC is only for 4wd if I'm correct. All I know is that when I flip the abs kill switch, my truck will lock up under braking, and spin the tires in a straight line or around a corner with the back end stepping out.

Exactly. I may have tried to get fancy and use the wrong terminology. When the switch is on, there is no electrical traction control assistance on.

Correct. While in 4L A-TRAC will still work. But at that point, being in 4l already kills abs. This is more of a higher speed (highway or around town) while in the snow in either 2wd or 4h or through the desert/ other off road terrain in 2wd or 4h where this mod will be benefited the most. Or in the case I stated earlier with a lifted/ larger tires truck and canyon driving to get vsc to not kick in around the corners

From my testing, when hitting the abs kill switch and according to ^^^^ list. You are essentially in either modes 3 or 5 depending on whether or not you are in 2 or 4wd, with the addition of abs being off (which is better anytime you are off road or in the snow in my opinion, and will reduce stopping distance in all circumstances). And the added benefit of not having to come to a complete stop and hold the vsc button for they claim 3+ sec, though it seems more like 8-10 when I've done it

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
I'm guessing your method is the same as this one, but with the GREEN wire splice at a different plug location on the harness: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...easy-caveman-can-do-abs-disable-mod-pics.html

I'm trying to determine if/how this ABS-Kill mod can be used in conjunction
with the Yellow Wire Mod on my '11 Sport (w/ VSC & TRAC). Can anyone confirm this, has anyone tried?

This statement is wrong. I have a 4WD tacoma and do not have vsc or trac.
