I'm a hard driver. So I don't routinely check my mileage because I know my habits contribute to my low mpg figures. But it's a truck first and foremost. I bought it to haul not to save gas. Last I checked I'm averaging 16mpg. On premium. That might seem terrible to some but I haul a lot of junk in my bed and often have a trailer hooked up. So it's not bad to me. :D

    3rd tank
    16.2 mpg with Premium.

got .6 more mpg = 10.2 more miles.

Now the weather is getting warmer now. I went back to mid-grade to see if I get better than the 2nd tank and then i'll use premium in on the 5th tank to see what happens again.

I've only filled up twice, once i got 16.4 the other 16.9, I also drive mildly aggressive, and in NYC traffic. Don't carry extra weight, light right foot, wll save you the most miliage...

16.5 - 17.3 MPG so far with my 3" lift and 285 KM2s. Still on winter gas here, I'm pretty easy on it for the most part, I like to step on it upon occasion, but I don't drive with a heavy foot at least.

We need to actually start a poll for gas mileage, but we need to make sure its seperated by lifts and engine sizes.

After installing my K&N intake im getting 18-19 mixed with a high of 21 mixed which was an improvement of around 1.5 mpg so it pays for its self in around 20 fillups

Just finished first tank in my '05 2.7 Hilux d/cab and got 15.8 but was winding it up a fair bit(it hauls!!) - also 95% short stop driving.
Will drive a bit better on next tank to see improvement(there should be)

I've been consistently getting right at 20 mpg. I'm pleased to be getting that, since that's the rated highway mpg for my truck, and my driving is right at 50/50 city / highway.

Short hops around town... usually under 10 miles a trip yields about 16 mpg.

I'm not a heavy right foot for the most part.

Far cry from the 21 mpg with the same type driving in my little 01 access cab (2.7 - 4 cylinder) that I used to get.

Gotta pay for those 2 extra cylinders and two extra doors I guess, altho I was hoping to see closer to 18 in town. :(

I get from 15.5 to 20.5, about what the window sticker said when I bought it.
What I don't understand is, why should a V6 Tacoma gets worse MPG than my old '90 F150 with a 302 V8? I guess it is more powerful than the F150 was, but I'm not really pushing it that hard, either. In fact, I have to be nice to it to get into the 19 - 20 range. It's so much a better truck that I don't really care, though. I drove teh F150 192K and then got a 2001 Tacoma and now have the 2008 PreRunner. The F150 was a really good truck, but I'll never go back. The Tacoma is so much easier to handle. That's why I have my second one, now.

    :)

Ok, after the solid 16 mpg in town only driving, the mixed driving numbers are in...

Average 10 mile hops with some 60 plus mile short trips, my 2008 4x4 DC LB yielded 19.5 mpg!

I'm real happy with that... considering the hills and the weather. :)

I stayed conservative on the longer drives and maintained a 60 mph average speed.

The gas was 87 octane... I filled up with 93 and will post those results too.

Truck is lifted but didn't change mileage any. Still little over 20 if nice, little under if not.
