Pretty damn slow at this time haha but I have a lift reserved for me down in the US. @EatSleepTacos is good enough to make me a hell of a deal! So we are planning a trip to meet. Have to get my passeport done so I can cross the line. I plan to get it done by the end of the week:fingerscrossed: will mee sometime before the new year and install next spring!

On a note that concern you more, I bought my first beaver trap last week! Looking to catch one next week end and try to prepare the fur to be used on my quad seat haha

I think I have my passenger side caliper going out... The truck is pulling left when I hit the brakes, which means that the left brake works more than the right... damn thing. I'll have to check this out when I'll swap tires for winter, which is pretty soon.

upgrade to 4runner brakes man cuz that's what I'm doing when I have to do my brakes, u can get calipers rotors pads and dust shield for about 500 bucks. They are bigger and give better stopping.

Theres good info in these threads:

Don't know yet if I'll replace both. Toyota quoted me 390$ for the caliper, and local autoparts quoted me 120$ lol wtf Toyota!:der: Its a no brainer lol but first I'll troubleshoot and see if I can unseized it. Might just be something stupid a little grease can solve!

Thanks for the info! I'll read the info for sure but I don't plan to invest 500$ in braking haha that 500$ is going for lift lol priorities!!!

175k km or miles? I know you did the Cabot trail, which is hard on brakes, but I am at 229k km and it is my first brake issue. You might be good for a while lol

Km's. Im on my third set of rotors and pads....The cabot trail completely toasted my brakes. I think when it comes to the fourth one I will upgrade everything.

Already! Don't know what the previous owner did before me but when I bought the truck they told me maybe 40k, did like 60k haha and in 110k I only changes the pads once, and adjusted the drums once lol but mt is less hard on brakes too according to what I read...

Don't forget about all the extra weight peter is rolling around with, makes a huge difference haha ill be upgrading to the 4runner brakes cuz I hate how damn spungy the brakes are! it drives me crazy, I don't drive the truck often enough to get use to it so I'm hoping that will fix my problem haha but I wont be doing it until I'm due for new brakes. the front pads and rotors only have about 25k on them right now so I still have some time lol

my stocks lasted 120K, put on EBC pads and did the cabot trail....40k. Now I am running on new stuff and so far so good. Im on my third set of rotors and pads.

Yeah I do have a lot of weight. You figure almost 6000lbs without gear. Load me up for camping, water, extra gas. Shit adds up.

eventually. I figured for the price of pads and rotors it wouldn't be as expensive as going to the stop tech big brake kit which is like 3-4gs. Plus the rotors and pads are pricey too. The 4runner setup is available everywhere and seems pretty easy to do...well other than bleeding the brakes which is a pain on these trucks
