    Hmm when goes over speed bump clank. The fact that he has 5100s might disprove the over extended shock theory if it isn't the sway bar or other issues

    You guys getting the clank, have you checked to make sure your LCA bolts are torqued? Even if they're tight, but not tightened to spec, it can cause a clunk when you hit a bump.

    So got another question for you gents. Those of you who have the Dakar OME leaf packs, have you removed any leaves from it? If so, is it just the overload you remove? And what kind of lift is that giving you?

    I removed the 3rd leaf from the top. My rear is a half inch higher than the front with 885s and no top plate spacer. You can also remove the upper overload but that will only reduce the lift by the thickness of the overload leaf (5/8"?)

    Mine ended up reducing the lift a little more based on the averages on your thread. Im at about 23.5 in the rear

    Just trying to find a commonality in the set ups that this issue is related to

    So far the only thing that everyone seems to share is OME coils

    Seeing how the OME shocks and 5100 shocks have different coil seats , and people are getting this noise with stock UCA's as well as aftermarket UCA's , the only common denominator seems to be the coil , and I'm not sure how a coil is going to be responsible for this noise

    I'd be willing to bet it's coil orientation and something is contacting the coil or somethings not tightened down like the LCA bolts.

XD Wheels with 4.5 BS, Best Top Soft Top, Undercover winch mount with Warn 8k winch (with synthetic line), Pioneer touchscreen double din head unit. 4X innovations welded sliders. roof mounted DVD system.ATO dual battery tray with dual yellow tops. Rugged ridge isolator kit.


    I removed the 3rd leaf and I am at 23 3/8 so almost 23.5. The ride is amazing and with the 885s up front with the 1/4" top spacer I am only a 1/16 of an inch difference from front to rear

    OME 886's, Dakars with one overload removed, OME shocks all 4 corners. No idea what I got out of the lift, but I'm at 23 1/2" up front and 24" in the rear. No armor other than the ARB, still have the sway bar, but it's about to come off due to spring contact issues. 255/85 km2s no rubbing, no trimming.
