Ok, so then planning on sticking with the ToyTec top plate spacers, my next question is:

I purchased my front suspension with the "Assembled front shocks / coils with new bushings" option. I already had the top plate spacers when I ordered the rest of the parts from ToyTec.

Not knowing at which point the top plate spacers are installed, I'm wondering; will I have to disassemble the front shocks and coils that come assembled to add the top plate spacer?

You're good. The spacer goes on top of the assembly. No need to Take anything apart.

I don't have an assembled pic, but it goes right on top of this. Between it and the upper mount.

OME 887 and Dakars w/ 3rd removed; SPC LR UCAs
Before:After:What did you put up front & what did you get?
885 coils and 9000 shocks averaged about 2" gain
What did you put in back & what did you get?
Dakar's with 3rd removed and 60091 shocks about a 1.7" gain giving me about a 1/2" of rake
If you got Dakars on a 2nd Gen share your measurements with OZ [IMG] 2nd Gen OME Dakar hub to fender measurements ([IMG] 1 2 3 ... Last Page)
    Done
Are you running trail armor & how much lift did you loose or what did you do to regain/maintain lift?
No armor yet, but kept the top plate spacers and the 3rd leaf for when I do
Tire & wheel specs & rub or what you did to eliminate rub.
    Goodyear Wrangler 255/75/17. No rub
Are you still running a sway bar?
    Yes

So I read every single page of this thread before doing the install and I gotta say, it went incredibly smooth from all the knowledge I gained from y'all, especially Oz. It took me and a few buddies 3 hours to do the rear before the hobby shop on base closed down and 3 hours the next day to do the front. Had to grind the rear shock mounts just a bit but not a huge problem. My advice though is do this before you put the ubolt plate back back on. Gives you a lot more room to work the angle grinder.

After all the reading though I was fully expecting to have some kind of vibration. I don't know if I'm just not sensing them or what but I guess I'll wait and see if any show up.

Last bit of advice, if you have modified your truck in any way, don't go to Goodyear for anything. I called and asked if they were open on a Sunday to swap and balance my new tires and they asked me the sizes and said okay. Drove over there and he said he should've asked if it was a newer vehicle before making me drive all the way out there. Wouldn't do the swap. Took it to Town Fair the next weekend and the swapped and aligned it for $99, as long as I was aware that the tires I was putting on were bigger.

I bought a Haynes repair manual when I got the truck and that was super helpful with the install, but here's another good reference:

    http://www.sleeoffroad.com/installation/tacoma_05_ome_suspension_instructions_newlogo.pdf

I'm keeping this page open in my browser and hopefully now I'll be able to contribute a little bit!

Anyone running 285 75 16s on a dcsb, no front bumper with 886s? If so do you mind measuring the front ride height. I am currently running a spacer lift and am curious if I need top plate spacers or not to maintain my current ride height

I'm running 886s with a TAG bumper its a very rough ride i can feel every bump in the road when I go over a drop or speed bump it feels like the suspension over extending. should I switch to 885s or 884s? switch shocks?....coils?...

This is because the 886s are designed for Tacoma's with over 200lbs of extra weight so you should either put more weight on or deal with the stiffness of this bad ass OffRoad set of coils because it is what it is and that's how it is because they were made that way so maybe extra weight up front in not familiar with the TAG bumper is it heavy do you have a winch how about passengers did you give the coils time to settle and break in how many miles on the truck have you noticed the over speed bump goes clank issue?

Yes the TAG is probably around 200 lb or better and the kit has been on for over a year now.

Air down the front tires perhaps? Less pressure?

Slow speed pop/clank while turning wheel help...

    Truck is 2015 4wd Sport with ~10k.

So I installed my 887s and dakars back 7k miles ago and besides the creaking dakars and some spring/sway bar contact (remedied by a sway bar relocate), I've been really happy with the lift.

I installed 285s a few months back and had a little rubbing on the inner portion of front mud flap. I took a heat gun and molded the plastic back and rubbed no more on the street.

I was recently checking articulating clearance on the hill in my driveway to make sure it didn't need anything else to clear the 285s. I first backed up the hill like this...

    B8B5897F-CFF2-45AC-BAF5-F3122A1CEC03_zps_31d6e3e8828e621cec8900d90712dfefa5e3682d.jpg

Everything looked good... No rubbing the CM or anywhere else.

I pulled up, turned around, and then put the driver's front tire in the same spot. No rubbing anywhere there either.

Thought all was well and good. Backed down and backed into the carport. Truck sat for a wet/rainy day or two. And I went to get in two days ago, started it up, turned the wheels a bit to pull out, and there was a loud pop/clank from the driverside front suspension.

It has happened a couple of times since then. Slow speed (0-5mph) and happens intermittently while turning.

I looked underneath and everything looks fine. I plan to get my buddy's torque wrench and recheck all bolts we loosened during initial install. Anything else I should be looking at?

    Appreciate any help...

    Just installed my setup today.

    Ordered from ToyTec.
Front: 885 Coils, 90001 shocks, ToyTec top plate spacers. Got about 3" up front (didn't actually measure).
Rear: Dakar leaf pack, removed longer overload leaf. Gained about 2" in the rear (didn't actually measure).

I THINK it's sitting level. Didn't do anything to formally check but I like the way it looks. I'm really glad I used the top plate spacers and removed the leaf from the Dakars. I would have been pretty bummed if I wound up with a major rake after spending all this money and time to install.

Other mods also performed in this install:
Chopped my cab mount, flattened my pinch weld, and did some trimming to make room for the 285/75R16 BFG KO2 tires that I'm having put on tomorrow.
    17EE540F-6C8D-43F2-AE48-BF4D3893CFCE_zps_e9145b5e5c828a07d9bb99020f4cb9a8d243bba1.jpg

Added Spidertraxx 1.25" wheel spacers all the way around. These made a big difference. I couldn't imagine how narrow the front wheel base would look now without having added these. I had them on my last Tacoma and they never caused any problems with them in the latter 70k of the 115k miles that I owned the truck.

Can't wait to get the tires on tomorrow. Will post more pics when I do!

So I've got a few questions...
I decided on the Complete OME Sport Suspension for both convenience and the good reviews from guys like you all that used/are using this set up or one very similar to it: Also for potential alignment issues, I was going to go with the Total Chaos Uniball Upper Control Arms. Then last but not least because I'm on base down here in CA for convenience & timeliness I'll have Wheelers put the coils on the shocks: So questions for you all:
1.) I figure it'll work for my 2015 since the specs really didn't change from '14 to '15, but just clarifying that it will....

2.) With a canopy in the back and an incoming bumper I'm looking for about 3" of lift and from what I've read I'll gain that with the leafs provided and 885 coils, correct?

3.) I'm really not looking to mess around a shit ton with the front end suspension, I've installed leafs and shocks in the rear end before, piece of cake. That front end is what I want to be as painless as possible, I saw a walk through thread so it shouldn't be tooooooo bad, I'm just making sure the in house strut assembly will make it that way so I don't have to worry about compressing coils.

Thanks for the help TW and for allowing my noob questions :)

Do you have a grinder for the rear shock mounts? You'll need it on a 2015! :) Specs didn't change but Toyota's tolerances on the rear shock mounts did. Not a big deal but you will need to grind the mounts to get the shocks on.

    Quick question:

If I wanted a roughly 2.5 inch lift with 120-150 lbs of bumper and winch, what OME combo would I go with? 885 with 1.5 progressive add-a-leafs would do it, right?

Also, I have a 2015. Whats the deal with the rear shocks?

    Thanks

No I don't have a grinder, hmm... do you mean the portion of the mount where the frame has that welded piece that sort of cups around the (upper) mounting point?

I had mine professionally installed. However, of I recall correctly or is the lower shock mount that needs ground down. Only seems to impact OME shocks though and only on the 2015 Tacoma.

I don't have photos but I've seen them in this thread some time back.

I ordered my parts through Headstrong OffRoad and they warned me in advance since I had a '15. My installer confirmed he had to grind to make them fit.
