    Neither am I.

To be completely honest, I don't have high hopes for this arbitration process, however I'm not willing to just accept the issue and move on. I feel like if I don't at least try it, then I can't complain....kind of like complaining about an elected official when you didn't vote.

If nothing comes out of the process to make me happy, I'll learn to live with the issue. I will also make it my new hobby to spread the word about the problem and Toyota's lack of action as much as I possibly can.

I know this is a long shot, but have you tried greasing the u joints on the driveline? I had a slight shudder and decided why not try it? Surprisingly I haven't noticed the issue since. Sort of wished I greased them right off the lot. I don't have ANY scientific proof but my thought process was, "u joints are commonly replaceable part ( I consider them wear and tear parts like brake pads). Why would Toyota put more grease than needed if they know x amount will last past normal warranty " it saves them money. just a thought.

Yes, I did grease the u-joints, and it made no difference.

So, it looks as if I will not be going to arbitration - at least not right now.

Just got a call from the regional Toyota rep, and we had a very lengthy discussion about the issue. He assured me that Toyota is still actively working on a fix for the issue, and he expects to see something in 60-90 days. There are no guarantees with that of course, and I agreed to let them use my truck as a test for any new fixes that are released.

They also offered me an extended platinum warranty at no cost, which I declined in favor of a payment credit. (I've never kept a vehicle anywhere near 7 years in my life, and don't expect that will change anytime soon.)

For now, I am going to withdraw my arbitration request and give Toyota the 90 days to make some sort of progress towards a fix. If nothing happens in that time frame, I will start again with the arbitration process.

As I said in my first post on this, I never wanted Toyota to buy back the truck - I just want it fixed, and am not willing to accept that it is a "characteristic of the vehicle." I did express my concern that Toyota has had 9 years to get this right and still hasn't, so I don't have high hopes for it to happen in 90 days.

The person I spoke with seemed to be very straight with me, so I am giving him the benefit of the doubt for now.

Here's hoping that they do come up with a fix. Please share it here as I'm sure Toyota isn't going to go out an let us all know.

For my '07, it had no noticeable vibration when it was stock.

After I put in a Toytec AAL and Billstien 5100s on all corners, I've got a very noticeable vibration when accelerating between 20-30mph. When the temps are cold, the vibe is more noticeable and it lessens as the truck rolls for a while.

Brought it to the dealer, and they blamed it on the AAL/Billstiens. I knew at that point I wasn't going to get anywhere with them. Plus, honestly, the vibe occurred immediately after those were put in.

Honestly, my biggest vehicle regret here is getting rid of my beloved Gen 1 for this Gen 2. It's been a real piece of crap. My Gen 1 was trouble free.

Dropping off the truck tomorrow for hopefully a fix.

If not the truck stays on there lot. Sick of the shit and dealing with them.

If the issue you are having is the same driveline angle problem that I (and countless others) had, the good news is that the new TSB will fix it. I had it done a few weeks ago, and was completely satisfied with the outcome.

So to the OP what was involved in the TSB? Or has that been posted already. Just curious since I had to fix this on a 2012 I had luckily the 14 I just bought has no vibes.

    Thats the problem :

Hundreds of vibration posts getting jumbled up into the same pot and same post but not the same issue for every truck .
One guy posts the that tsb fixed his problem http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/254438-driveline-vibration-tsb-out.html

Next guy has a vibration issue and thinks the TSB above is his issue but he didnt check his transmission fluid .
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...-transmission-low-fluid-directly-factory.html

Next guy installs a lift kit on his truck and doesnt cancel out his driveline angles but thinks the TSB is going to fix his vibration .
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/153050-just-fixed-driveline-vibration-free.html

Next guy posts that his tires needed to be balanced and the vibration is fine after the balancing so that must be the fix . 3 other members agree with him that the vibration went away after they had the tires balanced .
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/322038-effing-front-end-shake.html

Next guy posts that the steering wheel TSB fixed his vibration .
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/99531-steering-wheel-shake.html

Next guy posts that all it took was greasing the universal joints and slip yoke to get rid of the vibe .

Next guy posts and and he has vibrations but they go away when using 4x4 .http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...nt-differential-bearing-vibration-thread.html

All the fixes listed above Fixed different vibrations and some how get mixed into the same post . Members are not taking the time to properly diagnose their vibration issues . Its the internet . These trucks have all kinds of different vibrations . The key to solving your issue is breaking the problem down .:D

This is the thread with the info on the new TSB:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/254438-driveline-vibration-tsb-out.html

Like any other thread, there is a bunch of crap in there that has nothing to do with this TSB.....just like gearcruncher said. The bottom line is that this new TSB includes three things:

A steering wheel damper, which was included in previous versions of the TSB, and probably does nothing at all.

A revised transmission mount, which was also included in previous TSBs, and probably did very little on it's own.

The part that is new to this TSB are the revised leaf springs with angled mounts. There are several different part numbers / angles. In order to determine the correct set to order, the dealer has to install the trans mount first, then take some driveline angle measurements, which dictate which set of springs to order.

Mine got taken care of last August by a Nissan dealer. Accepted it as a trade on a new Frontier PRO-4X that has no vibrations. I loved my Tacoma except for that very bad vibration.
Frontier is every bit as nice of a truck as the Tacoma. Not much difference except the Frontier has features you can not get on a Tacoma. Maybe the redesign, if we ever get one will change things and I will be back in a Tacoma.

Well, I guess I have to keep looking because I've had this TSB done and it hasn't helped at all. However, like a previous post mentions, all these shudders, shakes and shimmies get lumped into the same issue.

I traded my '01 Frontier with 63k original miles and no issues in on this '13 Tacoma and regret it because of this persistent vibration.

I only read the first page and then skipped to the end.I don't know if the OP found a solution to this problem? I Just installed a set of Caltrac traction bars last night and IMMEDIATELY my acceleration vibrations were gone. I used to have them bad accelerating with any sort of gusto from 5-20 mph and again (sometimes) when braking from 40 and down to 15 or so. Both vibrations are completely fixed! Sadly I had to cut a tiny bit of my bracket off where the spring mounts due to a fitment issue (which made me cringe), but other than that. It gave 3 benefits in one. Smother power delivery(no wheel hop), Eliminated vibrations and also dampened bed hop on the nasty pothole roads. The ride is a tiny bit firmer but more planted. Sorry for rambling, I just didn't think it would fix as much stuff as it did.

Also, I had my vehicle in twice for some TSB stuff to fix the vibrations. They replaced my drive shaft, hanger bearing and even transmission mounts. In fact they made everything worse! So I gave up and did the traction bars.

Can you post a link or give us the name of the traction bar used? Can you post any pics of what it looks like installed and/or a pic of the part of the bracket you had to trim? Thanks.

Sure thing, gimme like 15min and I will get a pic up. The tractions bars are called Caltracs and they are manufactured by Calvert Racing in California. They are excellent to deal with.

Here are the images. I was kinda rushed at the end of the night so I need to re-spray some paint on some of the exposed metal. As you can see, where my finger is pointing is where I removed the material. The brackets will move up and down slightly with suspension flex and was bumping a little. I may have cut off more than needed but I didn't want to have to do it again. I took off a triangle of material about 1" tall and 1/2" wide.
