That's good to hear. I have 6 cans of plastiderp that I got when DYC.com was doing a sale. Hard to beat 3 bucks each (it's actually dark grey, but would match my grill at least for the time being).
Something I may take a stab at this weekend.

Picked up a friend for my 2015 Silver Sky Tacoma, a Indigo Ink Blue 2007 DCLB Sport.

    07taco.jpg

Relatives down in the Southwest parts bought this Tacoma back in June of 2007, they asked me to go with them for the purchase. Last week they tried to trade it in on a 2017 DCLB Sport. Dealer would only give them $5000 for the 2007. They stated the engine was shot, the rear suspension needed A LOT of work, the tires were toast and 4X4 where far less desirable to the hot selling "Prerunners" that eveyone wants. Luckily they texted me before they signed the papers. I wired $7000 to them immediately and grabbed the next plane after the next plane, the first one was full. Engine shot? It leaks oil a bit at the timing cover. This is actually a TSB. The rear suspension had the non-TSB springs. Got the dealer there to change them before the trip back. The tires were actually worn and cracked. Put on some new KO2s. Just 4 months ago it had it's 110K mile service. All fluids replaced, spark plugs, filters, you name it. 112K is on the clock now. Drove it back home this weekend. Since traveling through Oregon, I HAD to stop and Wheeler's an get some goodies!

I've been trying to decide between yellow or blue film for my foglights. Might have to go yellow, since my truck is already blue.

    Goddamnit, THIS.

Before I got my Taco I was looking around HARD for a 3rd Gen 4runner with about that as my budget. Months of looking with no luck had me get itchy so I upped my game and now I've got my current rig, but it definitely cost me, LOL.

You could turn around and sell that rig down here in AZ for DOUBLE what you just paid for it and even with the stuff you just put into it make some serious profit. Congrats!

My sister and her husband, who no very little about cars, were going to accept $5000 trade. They thought they'd better double check with me first since I helped them buy the truck. I was going to pick up a 3rd Gen 4Runner for my son who turns 16 next month. I guess he will get this 07.

That's where I picked this truck up from. Tucson. Drove it to my parents in Las Vegas and did all the work (new rear springs - tires) before heading back up to Seattle. This truck will go to my son. And I am not spoiling him, that kid works hard, gets great grades and it being sought for scholarships. Plus he makes good money writing code for clients. He has been coding since he was 12.

If you teach him to parallel park that DCLB with a camper shell he will be able to park anything anywhere! I learned on an AC with the 6 foot bed and a similar shell and when I moved to the city I was all set!

That's pretty awesome, actually. Congrats to him then for getting a very awesome rig. He better not get you a tie for Father's Day this year...

The upgraded climate control set from China arrived today. Looks right at home with the interior.
