any of yall changed the rear diff breather from a 1 way valve to 2 way valve? If so what part #'s did you use? Just what ever is used on the front diff since I think that is a 2 way.

any write ups? i couldn't find any for 1st gens only 2nd gens

so to be more clear something like this:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/technical-chat/111954-my-differential-breather-mod-photos.html

I made a mistake with the 1 and 2 way names. I should have said it opposite. I think the stock setup is a 2 way breather so it lets gasses vent but also water in. I'd like a 1 way so only gasses vent, but i think the setup above simply moves the breather high enough so it doesn't matter that it is 2 way

So to rephrase anybody know of the part #s for a new union at the pumpkin that has a hose barb connection. Put hose on this and run to gas cap lid compartment and place a breather that also has a hose barb connection to connect to hose

Ok guys I was working on my radio trying to get my hu to dim with the light but it won't work any way that I've thought of, whatever. But now my problem is that my dash lights don't work the parking brake, oil, battery, etc lights still work but the lights for the speedo, tach, gas guage, and temp guage don't work nor do the A/C control back lights but radio works fine. Thougths on what to check all wires are in place the way they have always been but and all fuses are good both by a visual and multi-meter.

Changed and flushed coolant today..2001 2.7L

Used Toyota Long Life...mixed it 60/40h20

Located the engine block coolant drain plug/valve as well

Simple to use...found it between AC compressor and oil filter

pic with drain tube attached..worked great!

Thanks! For such a simple idea it took forever to mock up and build. Then again this has been my first "real" project in building something for my taco, so all in all it came out just how I imagined.:D

I probably could use some improvement on securing it though!

Be a 500 buck deductable at least to fix her car. Im not even gonna bother to fix mine. Its like..3'' long by 2'' in the lower corner of the rear body panel..will get covered up by the Elite bumper anyways.

And no shit! Woulda cut right through the car. I didn't even feel it  ha..i just kept backing up (i turned into the car) drug my bumper like 2 feet across her car..rear bumper is so high if i had turned like half a second sooner i would taken out the back windows.
