This one is pretty tight, and he has a little more detail on TTORA:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/1s...co-dc-fuse-box-relay-box-circuit-breaker.html

This is for 2nd gens, where apparently they have a shit ton more room that we do in the same location. But it might help inspire you:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...21-custom-auxiliary-fuse-panel-fs-thread.html

These are both a little overkill for what I need (no extra lights, just various trailer and accessory stuff for the cap and backup lights), and I have some dedicated circuit breakers that I am installing down next to the battery on the driver side fender wall, right where there is room and some existing holes to attach a panel to. It isn't super accessible without removing the battery, but if you do your shit right, you shouldn't be blowing fuses....

Here is a mockup of what I am doing down there, right near the large hole that looks like an air intake port, but there is a lot more space to do a larger panel if needed. I don't have a pic of a test fit, because it won't be easy to show until I take out the batt to do the actual install. But just go look at your truck and you'll see. I think you could get a Blue Sea box of some type in there pretty easily.

I stuck one behind the kick panel. Didn't look to see if you had a 1st get or not.

In the end it is how much you want to spend and expand.
Also read up on my thread on electrical. It will help you wire your car, home, etc correctly and prevent any fires.

I have an 00 Tacoma with no ABS, and thus lots of room over there too.

And I'm coveting that sheet-metal "plate" you either fabbed or found. What would you suggest for making one myself? Urban resident without much access to scrap :(

I used a metal roof shingle. Fairly easy to work with and has held up well.

Mine is up, under the dash, just behind the factory fuse panel.

If you mount it in the cab, you only have to run a large hot wire from the battery to the auxiliary panel, instead of running every accessory wire through the firewall to a location under the hood.

Steal a road sign !! Lol jk man..:spy:

I found that piece of scrap at my work, it was a broken shelf I think. You could use a piece of plexiglass, the side of an old filing cabinet, buy a cheap metal clip-board and hack it up, lots of options just think outside the box. Is there a hardware store, Office Depot, Lowes anywhere nearby?

I'm gonna move mine to the drivers side above the oem fuse box, b/c I wanna use the space on the PS for another battery
