    I originally purchased this truck in 2009 with 104k miles. She is a 99 TRD Prerunner with the 2.7L and an automatic transmission. As things break/need replacing I tend to upgrade which you can see through all of the pictures posted here in chronological order.

    Thanks odnarem! I'm still in grad school. but since I have the summer off I plan on fixing some things on her. I just fixed the faulty fuel gauge via the sending unit in the tank on Friday.

    I plan to install tundra brakes up front and plasti-dip the roof black since the paint is peeling.

    Thanks! I wanted to build something that wouldn't take up extra space. After I got the RSX seats I decided to build a center console to hold a 10".

    I would get the calipers from wherever they are cheapest in your location. You could also get used oem calipers from a junk yard and rebuild them.

    Everything was pretty straightforward. I did manage to strip the fitting on the driver side hard line (where the flexible brake line attaches at the frame). I was able to get it off and back on using vice grips. In the future I will probably replace this line, but for now it is working without any leaks.

    Decided to replace the fender flare bolts with truss head screws for a lower profile. I found that the stock ones would rub my tires while flexing.
    I got these screws on Amazon. They are not exactly the stock size, but close enough. I couldn't find any metric screws that fit what I was looking for. https://amzn.to/3Z5T2eZ

    Loving the ideas you have going on here. Were the 2nd flight door panels a direct swap? I've been strongly considering it because I hate my doors now.

    What year overhead sunglass console and do you have a write up for that?

    The panels are pretty much a direct swap. You will need new window switches etc. The oak color is lighter in 01-04 interior than earlier. It doesn't bother me though.

    The sunglass console is not a direct swap. It was advertised as fitting a 00-02 4runner but I am not sure if those were the exact years. There are a few versions of them with or without a sunroof switch. I had to epoxy a nut to the roof in order to mount it. I also had to trim down the sides to match the roof line. I'll get some more pics of it when I get a chance.

    I noticed an exhaust leak at the joint before the cat where my LCE header connects. I'm not sure if this is caused by the header only being mounted at the engine or not. The stock Y pipe is mounted to the transmission, but I did not use this mount when I installed the LCE long tube header because it would require welding. I will see if this gasket lasts. You can see how destroyed my old one was.
