^^^ This encounter from back in April 2013 still confuses and angers me to this day...

 

Hope you changed out you service cable to a 4/0 and if your disconnect is outside wired your interior panel as a sub panel.

 

Going by this picture, I've put over 2,400 miles on my truck in just under two months!

 

I "liked" two pictures of your truck in the thread; Is that how I'm supposed to vote?

 

Next year I'm submitting mine; 5-lugs seem to be thoroughly underrepresented!

 

And in between doing various tasks at work, I got it done! Anymore threads consolidated into this one should be from about October 2020 onward, so there should be little to no issues with the linked posts "shifting"...

 

Only $110 and I'm not dropping $1,500 on a station wagon, so probably gonna do it; I'd really like an idea of what some of my truck would look like before I go through with it though...

What kind did you go with?

I bought a kit for under $100 including a harness..

 

Didn't buy 'em yet; Does this kit you speak of include the actual fog lights and utilize the OEM switch? Please send a link!

 

It was an Ebay thing long ago but I'll have a look see. Had em 8 years and no issues with them fogging up or anything though so that's something.

It did include an OEM style switch very close to the original. I just leave them on all the time anyway and use them as running lights along with the usual lights

 

And do the foglights automatically turn off when the high-beams are turned on? I have a feeling that most mechanics will just look the other way, but when I was still getting my truck inspected at the dealer I was told that it couldn't pass inspection if the fog lights could be turned on at the same time as the high-beams!

Gonna add cruise control and foglights to my truck!

 

Had the power company come in and replace everything that they own in order to run the higher panel. Also had to be permitted and inspected. Hope no more friend, it is done correctly.

 

One of the electrical engineers at my work bought this online as a kit and put it together herself...

 

Worked in the industry for years still do a little work for my electrician buddies. I pretty much seen it all and a great deal of it is pretty scary!
