Your truck will look badass lifted. My dad had a 92 (back in "92) 5 lug that he lifted and put some taller pizza cutters with the factory steel wheels and i thought it was so cool!

99% sure I did, but it was recall and not warranty...

The clockspring should be fine, but it’s looking more and more like my truck was not prewired for cruise control.

Here is the wiring diagram for cruise control (2.7L).

Connector E7 (C) pin #31 goes to the spiral cable pin #1, pin #2 on the spiral cable goes to ground.

I talked on the phone with my cousin last night, about what her next car will be; She has a white 2017 Toyota RAV4 XLE AWD that she bought brand new towards the end of that year. She lives in the Wilkes-Barre area, commutes to the Jim Thorpe area for work, and regularly drives to the Southeastern PA because her entire family lives in that area; As a result, her 3-year old RAV4 has 82K miles on it! Luckily, she has 0% APR financing. She has one daughter who was born in May 2020 and wants a second kid; As such, that would require something larger. She had her heart set on a Toyota Highlander; Yesterday, she told me she really liked the Volvo XC60 and planned to buy one used since she couldn't afford a brand new one. I immediately cringed at the mention of the name "Volvo"...

My overall opinion of the Volvo brand is good, but I prefer the older ones (especially the 1991-1993 Volvo 240s); The newer ones just don't do much for me, and on top of that they suffer from steep depreciation and outrageous repair bills. The 2010 Volvo V50 my cousin's husband used to own, mentioned in the linked post above, is a perfect example; $4,500 to fix an electrical issue with the air-conditioner! Go figure, he traded it for a Highlander! I told my cousin this story and that convinced her once again that a Highlander was the way to go for reliable family transportation.

I found this mysterious puddle of goo under the snowblower last night after is sat in the same spot for maybe seven or eight hours...

Too thick to be gas or oil; People on the snowblower forum where I’m a member seem to think it’s grease or oil from the auger drive...?

Have you checked if your truck is "pre-wired" for cruise control ?
it is very likely that it is and you won't have to mess w/ adding any wiring or the clock spring (spiral cable)

I only had to get the "cruise control" wire and all research points to my truck having the proper clockspring; Right now it's a 50/50 "Schrödinger's cat" type of situation with regards to whether or not my truck is prewired for cruise control. I've got some people telling me that Toyota stopped putting the same wiring harness in all trucks (even base model) beginning the in the 2009 model year (I've got a 2010 manufactured in August 2009); I've other people (like you) saying it's likely that my truck is prewired. The people who say my truck isn't prewired also say that unless I tap directly into the ECU (which I do not feel comfortable doing), I would have to replace the entire wiring harness (and possibly the ECU) with one from a truck with cruise control; This could end up costing more than half of what my truck is worth!

As of right now, my truck is Schrödinger's cat, but instead of being both alive and dead it is both prewired and not prewired at the same time...

My truck is going in for a tire rotation at my mechanic's on Friday morning, and he has the tool necessary to remove the driver's airbag, so we are going to test if the truck is in fact prewired.
